visions by kimberly readnour

I really liked this book because of the plot and the depth of the characters you could feel heathers conflicted nature about wanted to help the people in the visions and the way that trying to help ended her being an outcast . The book is basically about this girl named Heather who is clairvoyant she can see the dead or missing people when she touches something that belonged to them ,she had to move from her hometown to her new home because people in her old town witnessed one of her visions and they labeled her a freak from then on . Once moving to a new town her mom thought this would help things new town no more visions ,wrong they have started happening again and she has to choose between fitting in or helping the new boy in her visions that beckons for her help .

What I LIKED :Heather is a normal girl trying to do the right thing and going through high school at the same time so she is really realistic . Her mom is like any other mom concerned and only wanting the best for her and they fight all the time . There is also her apprehension at anyone who is nice to her and she fears at touching or getting close to anyone which is believable because of all she has been through . I Liked the mystery aspect of it, it wasn't just some girl seeing visions and some creepy narration the story was well thought out and I liked that .

what I DIDN'T like :After all was said and done the story could have ended five chapters before it did. I felt like there was a lot of fluff that was only done for the purpose of a cliffhanger and the link to the next book .That was very irritating to me because when a book is amazing and I like it I get to that point and I think "the end" I smile contentedly because that is where I believe the author did their job and the book was well written and polished . This was the case until the book went on for extra chapters tying up lose ends one chapter at a time where it could have easily been put into one chapter . None the less I cringe because I like to give positive reviews when I really enjoy a book , so maybe I'm complaining and nit picking for nothing you read it and see for yourself .

While I understand the need to make a reader left wanting more I would have preferred a stay tuned for the sequel where the author would have written something like this . "So mystery solved all's well that ends well ,but is it ?" I'm not a writer and there would have been more than that obviously to get the reader to buy the next book but I digress over all a well written book and I will read the next one .hold the cliffhangers please lol
